For drumming at odd hours, you're going to need an airtight space at a minimum so those aren't going to cut it.
Those sheds look great. What do they cost though?

Maybe... If you're handy with construction it might be worth it but I've got some experience in do-it-yourself sound reduction and if you don't know what you're doing, it's a total waste of time and money.
You can minimize sound pretty well on your own but if you have picky neighbors, consult a pro. (like Todd did)
good point, derek. i'd have hire the same guys to sound proof and ask their opnions. also, there were great articles on md awhile back, like almost a year ago.
i've been daydreaming alot lately about building a drum studio and i happened to drive by a place called tuff shed. there's one here in anaheim. anyone had any experience using this as their drum studio?

would love to literally 'shed'!!!
Get hold of Joey Heredia and check his drum crib out...He's in the Long Beach area
you could sound proof the room yourself if you have access to a portable analyzer.
get a hold of joey heredia? hahahaha! like he's ma bud or sumpin'. i'll give it a try if / when that day comes. thanks for the lead though, pocket!
he is like 15 minutes from my house. well, the city is.
